Seeking Medical Help in the USA – January 18, 2024
We enjoyed getting to know Joao and his mom last week in Florida. We learned some shocking news about his condition that none of us were expecting. While we thought that we were bringing him here for his legs, it turns out that his neck and spine are critically unstable. We are waiting on the results of three 3 MRI’s to see what our options are. Meanwhile, we are now racing to organize things. The plan was for him to return home tomorrow and for the family to get their affairs in order and ready to return in a few months for surgery on his legs. They will not be returning tomorrow as planned, and we will have to raise money fast to cover his unexpected medical bills that have already started. We are trusting God for His provision. He is so smart and amazing. His mom is so dedicated and selfless. This family has endured many hardships; I am glad they are here now. Investing in this boy is getting it right! He is so worth it.
