Joao and his parents will travel mid-April back to the States for treatment, for his urgent neck and spine.
We will celebrate his 16th BD with him on April 25th. I am so excited for all the joy coming when hard is the usual.The needs are so great, as you can imagine.
Here is a glimpse of what is needed right now:
- Prayer partners keeping us all covered.
- Immigration attorney who can help us navigate all of the needs.
- Swimming pool pass to a nearby pool or access to a private one where he could exercise and get therapy.
- Two people to work on helping the family learn English.
- Joao’s parents had to sacrifice and quit their jobs (scary moment). We need to cover their wages of a combined $750.00 per month to keep their household. Grandma, dogs, and their stuff await their return to Brazil.
- Airline tickets for a trip to Ohio and back: Looks like $2000.00 for the 3 of them in total.
- Travel emergency medical insurance for the three of them = $1014.00 total for six months of coverage.

Thank you for reading, praying, and sharing with Joao as we seek God for his miracles. Joao told us in Florida that “he would be the NEXT one to walk!”I believe that we will witness a healed and repaired pain-free spine/neck that will allow him to stand and walk, even with his legs like they are. That will be a GRAND sight for sure. All the Glory to you, Lord!
